With many new changes being seen in the Pakistan Cricket Board every day, all eyes are on the PCB’s action against the Pakistan men’s team which is making a comeback after a poor performance in the T20 World Cup 2024.
The Women's T20 Asia Cup is scheduled to start in Sri Lanka from July 19, which is considered very important in terms of the team's preparations before the Women's T20 World Cup to be hosted by Bangladesh this year. The PCB has appointed Mohammad Wasim as the new head coach of the women's team, who was previously serving as the chief selector during the tenure of former PCB chairman Rameez Raja.
Apart from Mohammad Wasim, these members will be in the support staff
While PCB has appointed Mohammad Wasim as the new head coach of the Pakistan women's team, former Test bowler Junaid Khan and Abdul Rehman have been appointed as assistant bowling coaches. Pakistan's women's team has not looked anything special on the field in the last few years, due to which there is a demand for change in the team's coaching staff. In the upcoming Women's T20 Asia Cup, Pakistan team will play its first match against India which will be played at Dambulla ground.
Pakistan team is in Group A with India in Women's Asia Cup
Pakistan's team has been placed in Group A of the Women's T20 Asia Cup, in which it will play its first match against India on July 19 and the second match against Nepal on July 21, while the team's last match in the group stage is against the UAE team on July 23.
