The Indian team is going on Australia tour in November. Where a 5 match test series is to be played. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced Team India. The reason behind fast bowler Mayank Yadav not getting a place in the Indian team for the tour has come to light.

Mayank Yadav injured

Mayank Yadav has suffered a back injury due to which he will remain away from cricket for about three months. He was recently included in Team India for the three-match T20 series against Bangladesh. He bowled brilliantly in all three matches. But he has not crossed the mark of more than 150 km per hour even once during his bowling, whereas in the IPL he had bowled the ball at a speed of 150 km per hour several times. He was included as a reserve in the Test series against New Zealand. But now Mayank will not be able to go to Australia with the Indian team.

A BCCI official said this

A BCCI official told PTI that it seems Mayank is struggling with a back problem. It could also be a case of stress fracture. According to the prior notification of NCA, he could have played from the fourth or fifth round of Ranji Trophy. But now this is not possible. He is out again for a long time.

The injury occurred during IPL 2024

In IPL 2024, Mayank Yadav performed brilliantly for LSG in the opening match. But he got injured in the middle of the season, due to which he could not contribute for LSG in the entire season. After IPL, Mayank remained away from action for several months.
