Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has suffered a big shock. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has banned Shakib from bowling in all its tournaments. His actions were found inappropriate during an independent trial at Loughborough University earlier this month.
Shakib played only one match for Surrey club in the County Championship in September. Then the umpires questioned his action and gave a report. To lift the ban, Shakib will have to pass the bowling action test. His elbow should not be bent more than 15 degrees during the test. The official ban date is December 10th. A review report by Loughborough University was submitted to the England and Wales Cricket Board on this day. Shakib took nine wickets for the Surrey club at Taunton in September, his first in county cricket since 2010–11. Recently Shakib has been in controversies. Due to political turmoil in Bangladesh, Shakib cannot go to his country. He has retired from Test and T20 International. He lives in America with his family.
