Pakistan cricket suffered a big blow on 23 March. The news of the demise of former PCB chairman and famous diplomat Shahryar Khan has come to light. Due to this there is a wave of mourning in the Pakistan cricket world. Shahryar Khan's death has been confirmed by his family. Shahryar Khan died in Lahore, Pakistan. Shahryar also served as manager of the national cricket team, twice chairman of the PCB and secretary of foreign affairs.

He had a special relationship with India

Let us tell you that Shahryar Khan was born on 29 March 1934 in Lucknow. Shahryar Khan's early education took place in India. After this India was partitioned and Shahryar Khan went to Pakistan. Shahryar Khan began a distinguished career as a diplomat in Karachi. Apart from this he also served as the Foreign Secretary of Pakistan. Shahryar Khan belonged to a family with a rich cricket heritage. He was the cousin of former Indian captain Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi.
