A hearing on the regular bail of Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Delhi government minister Satyendar Jain was held in the Supreme Court today. The court rejected Jain's bail plea and ordered him to surrender immediately. A bench of Justice AS Bopanna and Justice Bela M Trivedi heard the bail plea of ​​Satyendra Jain and Ankush Jain in a money laundering case. Jain is on medical bail from 26 May 2023.

Let us tell you that ED had arrested Satyendra Jain on 30 May 2022 in the money laundering case. About 9 months ago the court had granted him interim bail on medical grounds. However, the court also imposed several restrictions on him, such as influencing witnesses, complainants etc. related to the case, contacting the media, participating in political activities. On 26 May 2023, the Supreme Court granted 6 weeks judicial custody to Satyendra Jain on interim bail for treatment. This period has increased from time to time and has now become more than 9 months.
