England cricket team's star batsman David Malan has retired from international cricket. 37-year-old Malan is the only England player apart from Jos Buttler who has scored a century in all three formats. Malan has been number-1 in the T20 rankings. Malan was out of the England team since the 2023 ODI World Cup. He was not part of the team in the series against Australia. That is why he has decided to retire.

Malan played 22 Tests, 30 ODIs and 62 T20 International matches for England. He also became the number-1 batsman in T20 cricket. This England player scored 1,074 runs in Tests at an average of 27.53. In ODIs, he scored 1,450 runs at an average of 55.76. In T20, he scored 1,892 runs at an average of 36.38. Malan has scored 1 century each in Tests and T20s and 6 centuries in ODIs.
Let us tell you that Malan scored 78 runs off 44 balls in his T20 International debut match against South Africa in 2017. After this, he scored his only Test century of 140 runs off 227 balls in partnership with Jonny Bairstow in Perth. Stormy batsman Malan has also played in the IPL. Malan was made a part of the team by Punjab Kings in the year 2021 for Rs 1.5 crore. However, he got a chance to play only one match. He has 26 runs in IPL.
