Before the Lok Sabha elections, Congress has suffered a big setback in Kerala. Congress leader Padmaja Venugopal has left Congress and joined BJP. Padmaja is the daughter of Congress leader and former Kerala Chief Minister K Karunakaran.
After leaving Congress, Padmaja made many serious allegations against Kerala Congress. He said that he is facing a lot of insults in the Congress party. Padmaja told the media that she was deeply saddened by the behavior of the top Congress leadership.
Padmaja was angry with the Congress leadership for the last few days, after which there were speculations that she might join BJP. Putting an end to all the speculations, Padmaja joined BJP on Thursday.
Talking to the media on this occasion, Padmaja told the journalists that her mental pain is forcing her to leave the Congress.
Let us tell you that this is not the first time in Kerala, when a son or daughter of a former CM has joined BJP. Earlier, Anil Antony, son of former Kerala Chief Minister AK Antony, had joined BJP.
