Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has received another big blow from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has refused to accept Arvind Kejriwal's demand in the Delhi liquor scam case. Actually, Arvind Kejriwal had demanded immediate listing of his petition seeking extension of his interim bail period. But on Wednesday, the Supreme Court rejected it. After which it is clear that he will have to surrender on June 2.
The Supreme Court registry cited the court's previous order, which limited Arvind Kejriwal's interim bail till June 1. However, the Supreme Court had given Kejriwal the liberty to approach the lower court. The Supreme Court refused to accept the petition, saying that since the decision on the challenge to the arrest has already been reserved, it said that Kejriwal's plea for extension of interim bail has nothing to do with the main petition.
Let us tell you that in the petition filed by CM Kejriwal in the court, it was said that as per the doctor's advice, his weight has reduced by 6-7 kg during the detention and in view of the sudden weight loss and other health problems, he needs to undergo several other tests including PET / CT scan which will take 5-7 days. Let us tell you that Arvind Kejriwal is on interim bail till June 1. He was arrested on March 21 on charges of money laundering in the alleged liquor policy scam in Delhi. A few days ago, Kejriwal was granted interim bail from May 10 to June 1 to campaign in the Lok Sabha elections.
