Arun Kumar separated from Chirag's party

Arun Kumar said under what circumstances I supported Chirag Paswan. Under what circumstances did I merge the party at his request? After all, we are not Himalayan monks chanting rosaries. We have been doing politics of empowering people by increasing their power for public facilities for more than 40 years. Now I have separated from Chirag Paswan's party.

Chirag Paswan announced to contest elections from Hajipur seat

Two days after NDA's seat distribution in Bihar, Chirag Paswan has made a big announcement. Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan is going to contest elections from his father's traditional Hajipur seat. He announced this on Wednesday.

Hajipur means Ram Vilas Paswan?

It is noteworthy that Chirag Paswan's father late Ram Vilas Paswan has been MP from Hajipur seat 9 times. He entered politics in 1969. But when he set a record in Hajipur in 1977, the whole country heard his name. In the 1977 elections, Ram Vilas Paswan contested on Janata Party ticket. In that election he defeated the Congress candidate by a margin of 4.25 lakh votes. This was the first time that any leader had achieved such a big victory. This victory was so big that his name was also recorded in the Guinness Book.

Ram Vilas dominates Hajipur seat

After this, Ram Vilas Paswan became dominant on Hajipur seat. He won all the elections from here except 1984 and 2009 elections. He has been MP from here 9 times. The last time Ram Vilas Paswan contested the Lok Sabha elections from here was in 2014. After this he went to Rajya Sabha. In 2019, his younger brother Pashupati Paras became MP from here.
