Big blow to BJP in Maharashtra, former MP Hina Gavit resigns

The minister's father Vijay Kumar is contesting from Nandurbar seat.

Hina Gavit has also resigned from various posts of the party including the primary membership of the party. Regarding resignation, he said that this decision has been taken so that the party's image is not tarnished due to the rebellion. Hina Gavit is the daughter of state Tribal Development Minister Vijaykumar Gavit. Vijaykumar Gavit is BJP candidate from Nandurbar assembly seat.

Hina Gavit has also been the national spokesperson of BJP.

On the other hand, Hina Gavit from Akkalkuwa constituency has rebelled against Mahayuti. Gavit's rebellion has increased the problems of Mahayuti. Hina Gavit said, I have resigned so that the party does not face problems due to her candidature. Hina Gavit has also been the national spokesperson of BJP.

Shiv Sena faction accused of working against BJP

Gavit also said that Shinde faction of Shiv Sena is continuously working against BJP, hence we have decided to fight against them. Gavit's candidature is likely to see a high-voltage contest in the constituency. Hina Gavit contested and won the Nandurbar seat in Maharashtra in the 2014 general elections. After this, in 2019, the party gave her another chance, on which she came true. However, Hina Gavit had to face defeat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

This seat went to Eknath Shinde faction

After this election defeat, Hina Gavit was trying hard to contest the assembly elections, but she did not get a chance. In the seat sharing formula of Mahayuti, this seat went to the account of Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena. From this seat, Shiv Sena has fielded Amshiya Fujali Padvi, while Congress has fielded C Padvi from Mahavikas Aghadi, who is also a lawyer.
