Big blow to Ajit Pawar before elections in Maharashtra, two leaders resigned from the party

Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024: Assembly elections have been announced in Maharashtra. Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar's party NCP has suffered a major setback. Two big leaders of the party, Sanjeevraj Naik Nimbalkar and Deepak Chavan have resigned. Both these leaders have joined Sharad Pawar's party NCP. Deepak Chavan has been MLA from Fulton seat three times. Whereas Sanjeevraj Naik Nimbalkar has been the former chairman of Satara Zilla Parishad.

Election date announced in Maharashtra

The Election Commission has announced the date of assembly elections in Maharashtra today (15 October). In which voting will be held in a single phase on 20th November and counting of votes will take place on 23rd November. Voting is to be held in Maharashtra to elect 288 members of the Legislative Assembly. The last assembly elections in the state were held in October 2019.

Sharad Pawar's big statement

The statement of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP Sharad Pawar faction) chief Sharad Pawar has come to light. Addressing a rally, he said, 'I may be 84 years old, but I am not going to stop. Not only will I turn 90, but I will continue to work like this. I will continue to bring Maharashtra on the right path and will work for it all the time. It is noteworthy that his reference was towards Ajit Pawar.
