Prashant Jagdev arrested: Major action has been taken against the BJP candidate. BJP candidate Prashant Jagdev has been arrested. Police have arrested Prashant Jagdev in the case of vandalism at booth number 114 in Kauniya Patna near Rajsunakha in Bolgarh-Begunia assembly constituency. After the arrest, he has been sent to Khurda jail.

He was arrested based on the complaint of the presiding officer

The police have arrested him on the basis of the complaint of the presiding officer. Prashant Jagdev crossed all limits of hooliganism yesterday. During the voting, when Prashant broke the EVM and was running away in the car of Bhubaneswar MP candidate Aparajita Sarangi, the police chased and arrested him.

BJP candidate Prashant Jagdev suddenly entered the booth and misbehaved with the voters and assaulted the presiding officer and polling officer.

Chilika MLA Prashant Jagdev has been arrested on charges of assault, rioting and tampering with EVMs at booth number 114 in Begunia. After the arrest, he was produced at the residential office of the District Magistrate. After not getting bail here, Prashant has been sent to the custody of Khurda jail. The police have arrested Prashant Jagdev on the basis of the complaint of Presiding Officer Gyanranjan Tripathi.

BJP workers angry over arrest of Prashant Jagdev

On the other hand, BJP workers are angry over Prashant's arrest. BJP leader Nikunj Patnaik has alleged that Khurda police has hatched a well-planned conspiracy. On the other hand, BJD has contacted the Chief Electoral Officer and demanded strict action against Prashant Jagdev.

BJD demands arrest of Prashant Jagdev. According to BJD's complaint, BJP candidate from Khurda Prashant Jagdev entered a polling booth in Bolagarh and vandalised the EVM.

BJD MP Sasmit Patra said that he has lodged a complaint with the state's Chief Electoral Officer that the presiding officer and staff were beaten up and left covered in blood. The BJD alleges that Prashant vandalised the booth and fled.
