Big action by the Central Government in the NEET case! The high level committee formed will submit the report in two months

NEET Paper Leak Case 2024: Amid allegations of NEET paper leak, the Ministry of Education has constituted a high-level committee of experts to make the examinations transparent and fair. The committee will work on improving examination processes, data security protocols and improving the structure of NTA. This committee will submit its report to the Ministry of Education within 2 months.

Former ISRO Chairman Dr K Radhakrishnan will take over as the chairman of this high-level committee. Renowned former AIIMS director Randeep Guleria is also included in the list of chairman and members of the high-level committee.

The committee comprises Prof BJ Rao, Vice Chancellor, Hyderabad Central University, Ramamurthy K, Emeritus Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Madras, Pankaj Bansal, Co-founder, People Strong and Board Member, Karmayogi Bharat, Dean Prof Aditya Mittal and Dr Govind Jaiswal, Joint Secretary, Student Affairs, IIT Delhi, Ministry of Education.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Education, the high-level panel will analyse the end-to-end examination process and suggest improvements that can be made in the examination system. In addition, the panel will assess the existing data security processes and protocols of the NTA and make recommendations for its improvement. The committee will also examine the roles and responsibilities of officials at all levels of the NTA.

Earlier, in a press conference on June 20, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had talked about forming a high-level committee to investigate the functioning of the NTA. He also said that strict action would be taken against those found guilty, including NTA officials. The Union Education Minister had said that we should trust our system and the government will not tolerate any kind of irregularity or malpractice.
