India’s national security agencies have made shocking revelations about an ongoing international conspiracy against the country’s sovereignty and internal security. The National Investigation Agency i.e. NIA has filed a charge sheet in a very sensitive case in the special Rouse Avenue Court of Delhi on Tuesday. A total of seven foreign nationals have been accused in this charge sheet, which includes citizens of America and Ukraine. The main accused, American citizen and mercenary Matthew Aaron Van Dyke, along with six Ukrainian nationals, have been accused of having deep links with ethnic armed groups in Myanmar and hatching a serious conspiracy to provide sophisticated military and drone training to anti-India forces. After this sensational action, there has been a huge stir in international diplomatic circles and security agencies.
The investigation into this much-discussed and high-profile case was initially initiated under the stringent anti-terrorism law i.e. Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) due to its national security implications. However, as the investigation progressed and evidence was collected, the NIA did not invoke UAPA sections in the final chargesheet filed before special judge Prashant Sharma. Instead, the agency has tightened the noose on these foreign accused under sections 21 and 23 of the Immigration and Foreigners Act. Under these sections, serious allegations have been made of illegally entering the borders of India, moving without permission in restricted and sensitive areas of the country and openly violating valid visa rules and laws.
According to the documents and revelations presented in the court by the National Security Agency (NIA), this entire international gang had come to India in the month of March this year. All of them used valid tourist or business visas, but after this they reached the sensitive and protected north-eastern region like Mizoram. From there, these foreign citizens illegally crossed the international border of India and entered the border of neighboring country Myanmar. It is noteworthy that since the military coup in Myanmar in 2021, many rebels and ethnic armed groups have been fighting against the military government there. It is alleged that the same group had transported a large consignment of drones and other military equipment to Myanmar using safe routes from Europe to India and had trained the rebel organizations there in dangerous drone operations. The agency’s investigation has also revealed that these Myanmar rebel groups are also linked to notorious militant organizations operating in the north-eastern states of India, which are a major threat to India’s internal security.
The investigating agency has also informed the court that this foreign network was not limited to just providing training, but it was also directly involved in violent incidents in Myanmar. The group has also been found to be directly involved in a suicide drone attack carried out on a civilian aircraft on Myanmar soil. Earlier this year, a civilian passenger plane bound for Mandalay city was targeted by a suicide drone attack, which created a sensation in the entire region. NIA is now engaged in establishing deeper links with the main terrorist masterminds and other sleeper cells of this dangerous network operating in Myanmar, so that it can be found out which other international faces are yet to be exposed behind this conspiracy.
The biggest and shocking name in this entire matter is that of American citizen Matthew Aaron Van Dyke, who is considered an important part of the American ‘Deep State’ in international intelligence circles. Matthew Aaron Van Dyke is the founder of an organization called ‘Sons of Liberty International’ (SOLI), which works primarily as a non-profit private security firm and works to provide tactical and military training to militia groups and rebel organizations taking up arms against dictatorial governments around the world. Van Dyke has a controversial history and has previously been actively involved in some of the world’s most serious and bloody conflict zones, such as Libya and Syria. His dubious international background has increased the seriousness of this matter manifold.
Indian security agencies, showing utmost promptness, detained the main accused Matthew Van Dyke from Kolkata Airport in the month of March this year, while other Ukrainian citizens involved with him were caught from the international airports of Delhi and Lucknow. After a long and intensive investigation of about seven months leading to the arrest of all these foreign nationals, the NIA has finally presented this detailed charge sheet in the court. Taking cognizance of this high-profile case, the special court of Delhi has fixed October 1 for the next hearing of the entire case. This case is being considered very important in terms of India’s national security, cross-border infiltration and exposing the conspiracies by foreign forces to destabilize North-East India.
