Big achievement: Uttarakhand gets NQAS National Certification Award for the first time

Dehradun, 17 February (HS). Ayushman Arogya Mandir Garigoth of Champawat district has been given National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) certification for better work in health care. This is the first time that a health center in Uttarakhand has received this award. Health Secretary Dr. R Rajesh Kumar has congratulated the Garigoth team for this achievement. He said that this is a big achievement for the state. The state is continuously making efforts to provide quality treatment to the people.

The center remained fit on every standard-

Health care of pregnant women and newborns, care during pregnancy and delivery, family planning, contraceptive services and other reproductive health services under the National Quality Assurance Standard, management of common communicable diseases and treatment of serious minor and minor diseases under the National Health Programme. Standards are set for general out-patient care, diagnosis, prevention, control and management of non-communicable and chronic communicable diseases like TB and leprosy, basic oral health care, care of common eye and ENT problems, etc. NQAS certification is done on the basis of these only.

Award amount of Rs 2.16 lakh will be given-

National Health Mission Director Swati Bhadauria said that efforts were being made for the last one year to achieve national quality assurance standards. Problems related to shortage of medicines, equipment, lack of lab testing facilities, training, budget supplies etc. were resolved from time to time by establishing coordination at the Chief Medical Officer and state level. Also, State level and Regional Kumaon Mandal Rupesh Mamgain provided important support for the training. State Quality Nodal Officer Dr. Mukesh Rai said that Ayushman Arogya Mandir Garikoth will be awarded a sum of Rs 2 lakh 16 thousand by the Government of India.

The objective is to strengthen health facilities-

Ayushman Arogya Mandir Garigoth got the certification of National Quality Assurance Standards only after the efforts of Community Health Officer Sanjay Samant and his entire team of ANMs and ASHAs. Its objective is to strengthen the health facilities of Arogya Mandir, so that the public can get the benefit of quality services.

Focus on quality healthcare-

Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar said that the government is trying to improve the living standards of the population along with ensuring the availability of quality healthcare facilities to every area. The government has set up a 300-bed Super Specialty Cancer Hospital at Haridwar Medical College, Harrawala, Dehradun, and a 200-bed Super Specialty Cancer Hospital at Motinagar, Haldwani. It has been decided to operate the 200-bed MCH Center located at Super Specialty Hospital, Haridwar on lease-on and transfer model with the help of private sector.

His important contribution in getting certification-

It is noteworthy that under the quality assurance standards, continuous support is provided from the state level to the medical units to provide quality and good health services. The District Quality Assurance Team and the Facility Incharge, Nursing Team and Housekeeping Team of Ayushman Arogya Mandir Garigoth have contributed significantly in achieving the certification.
