Big accident on Shravan Monday, stampede at Siddheshwar temple in Bihar, 7 devotees died in the stampede

Stampede at Bihar Siddheshwarnath Temple: There is news of a stampede in the Siddheshwar temple of Jehanabad-Makhdumpur in Bihar early in the morning. 7 devotees died in this stampede while many others were injured. As it was Shravan Monday, a crowd of devotees gathered for worship. There was a long queue of devotees in the temple.

How did the tragedy happen?

Police said that due to Shravan Monday, when people were going towards the temple to bathe Lord Shiva, there was a stampede on the road. Then due to the jostling among the devotees standing in the queue, the railing broke and this accident happened.

As soon as the information of the stampede was received, the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police reached the spot. The police took action to identify the dead. Jehanabad's Thanedaar Diwakar Kumar Vishwakarma said that the DM and SP reached the spot and took stock of the situation. So far a total of seven people have died. The search for the relatives of the dead and injured has been started. The bodies will be sent for post-mortem.
