A tragic accident happened with 7 people of the same family in Poicha, Gujarat. 7 members of the same family drowned in Narmada river. It has been told that these people had come to swim in the Narmada river on Tuesday afternoon. But here all seven people drowned in the strong current. After this incident, NDRF and Vadodara Fire Brigade teams are trying to find people.
Police said all the victims were part of a group from Surat who had come to Poicha. On receiving information about the incident on Tuesday morning, officials reached the spot. A unit of 6bn NDRF from Jarod reached the spot in the afternoon. Let us tell you that Poicha is a popular summer picnic spot for swimming in the Narmada river. Recently, the Narmada district administration had directed local boat operators not to run boats without a license.
Vadodara NDRF Inspector Ashutosh Shrimal said, “NDRF and fire brigade teams are present here. A dead body was found today at 8 am. Rescue operations are being conducted with two boats. The search for the remaining six bodies is ongoing.”
