According to The New York Times report, Biden said before meeting Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, “Innocent people in Gaza are unable to feed their families. These people are trapped in a fierce war. They need food items and other relief materials. The United States will provide them ample assistance.
Biden said the United States would work with Jordan. Jordan has been at the forefront of providing air aid to Gaza. Aid can also be delivered to Gaza by sea route. The US President said that the aid being sent to Gaza is not enough considering the current situation. Every person's life is in danger there.
According to the report, Biden and Ms Meloni discussed support for Ukraine along with efforts to stop the war in Gaza. Senior National Security Council official John F. Kirby said that America will be the first to send food packets by planes. After this water and medicine will be supplied. A US military official said the Air Force was planning to deliver 50,000 food packets. Kirby said Thursday's deaths around a convoy of trucks carrying humanitarian aid into Gaza had shocked the world.
