Bhuvan Panchayat and Bhu Portal of National Emergency Management Database will be launched tomorrow

New Delhi, June 27 (HS). Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh will launch two geo-portals on Friday, including Bhuvan Panchayat (version 4.0) and National Emergency Management Database (NDEM version 5.0).

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has recently rolled out updated versions of two important national level geospatial databases namely Decentralised Planning for Ministry of Panchayati Raj, presented as “Bhuvan Panchayat (Version 4.0)” and Disaster Management Support for Ministry of Home Affairs, organized as “National Database for Emergency Management (NDEM Version 5.0)”.

It is noteworthy that the current version of Bhuvan Panchayat Geoportal (version 4.0) is an online geospatial data and service dissemination platform, which supports the integration and use of space-based information in governance and research initiatives related to spatial planning up to the Gram Panchayat level.
