BHU New Scholarships: Two new scholarships will start in BHU, these students will get this much money

BHU New Scholarships: Two new scholarships will be started for chemistry students in Banaras Hindu University (BHU). For this, 1951 alumnus Madan Mohan Kayastha and his wife Santosh Kayastha have donated Rs 10 lakh to the university. These scholarships will be available from the next academic session. Kayastha is an alumnus of Banaras Hindu University. He obtained M.Tech degree in Industrial Chemistry in the year 1951.

Kayastha and his wife Santosh have appealed to BHU to grant the scholarship in memory of their parents. The couple had earlier donated Rs 20 lakh in December last year to provide scholarships to two students each. Till now, a total of Rs 30 lakh has been received for 6 scholarships.

BHU Vice Chancellor Prof. Sudhir Kumar Jain thanked the couple for this cooperation. He said that the attachment and commitment of the alumni of the university towards BHU is incomparable. Director of the Institute of Science, Prof. Sanjay Kumar, Chairman of the Faculty of Science, Prof. SM Singh and Chairman of the Chemistry Department, Prof. Mayashankar Singh thanked everyone for their cooperation.

The 'Bhagwati and Mulk Raj Mahajan Scholarship' has been established as a tribute to the parents of Santosh Kayastha (Mahajan). The scholarship will be awarded to first year BA (LLB) Honors students and second year students of LLM programme.
