Bhopal: Plantation was done in village Kharkhedi in the campaign “One tree in the name of mother”

Bhopal, July 8 (HS). Under the plantation program “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” being run in the state, the horticulture staff planted saplings in village Kharkhedi of development block Phanda on Monday under the leadership of Principal Secretary Horticulture Sukhveer Singh and Director SB Singh.
On this occasion, Principal Secretary Sukhvir Singh said that Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has started a campaign to plant five and a half crore saplings to promote afforestation by planting saplings for environmental protection. He has appealed to the people of the state to plant saplings while supporting the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign.

He said that when we plant a tree in the name of mother, we will have a special emotional attachment and will be cautious about the care, irrigation and protection of that plant. As a result, the success of the plantation campaign will be more and more. If we select fruit species under plantation, then it will have double benefit. Along with forestry benefits like greenery, environmental balance, conservation of soil moisture, biodiversity, employment and economic benefits will be obtained from fruit production. With the increase in availability of fruits, the society will get multidimensional benefits in terms of health and efficiency from balanced nutrition. The Horticulture Department will inspire the villagers by running a special plantation campaign in all nurseries.
