New Delhi: BJP has expressed disagreement with the statement of Mandi Lok Sabha MP Kangana Ranaut on the farmers' movement. BJP issued a statement and warned Kangana not to make such statements in future. Kangana Ranaut had recently said that incidents like rape are happening in the farmers' movement. Along with this, she said that violence is taking place during the movement. Kangana Ranaut was on target after this statement.
BJP's central media department has issued a press release on Monday (August 26). It said- The statement given by BJP MP Kangana Ranaut in the context of the farmers' movement is not the opinion of the party. The Bharatiya Janata Party disagrees with Kangana Ranaut's statement. On behalf of the party, Kangana Ranaut is neither authorized nor obliged to speak on issues of party policy. Kangana Ranaut has been instructed by the Bharatiya Janata Party not to make such statements in future. The Bharatiya Janata Party is committed to follow the principles of social structure as well as the principle of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas.
Congress demanded an apology for Kangana Ranaut's statement. Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said that no MP should make such a statement. They should focus on the development of their area.
