Punjab CM Bhagwant Ma said in a social media post, 'Punjab government will give a compensation of Rs 1 crore to the family of deceased farmer Shubhakaran. Punjab government will give job to Shubhakaran's younger sister! Appropriate legal action will be taken against the culprits.

10 days of protest

Farmers have been protesting on the Punjab-Haryana border for the last 10 days regarding MSP and other demands. Meanwhile, farmers protesting on the Haryana border have claimed that a 21-year-old farmer died on the Khanauri border during a clash with the police on Wednesday, following which the farmers' anger is continuing. The name of this farmer is Shubhakaran Singh.

FIR will be registered after post mortem report

Regarding this incident, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has already said that an FIR will be registered after the postmortem of Shubhakaran. He has also said that strict action will be taken against the Haryana Police officer responsible for Shubhakaran's death.

Two years ago, when the farmers' movement was going on in Delhi, Shubhakaran Singh had participated in the Khedut Sangh. Shubhakaran Singh, associated with Bharatiya Kisan Ekta Sidhpur Union, reached Khanauri border on 13 February while marching towards Delhi with the farmers.
