In the Basic Education Department, Block Education Officer Nagar has complained to District Basic Education Officer Vimlesh Kumar about missing financial records against four people including the former BEO Nagar, the Principal. The Block Education Officer on Monday sought permission from the BSA to register an FIR against three including the headmaster. The Basic Education Officer said that a complaint has been received from the BEO in the matter, I am investigating the entire matter at my level. Permission will be given after the investigation report comes.
Block Education Officer, City, Vandana Saini has said in the complaint letter given to BSA that four cadets have been transferred to the Dong campus of the Block Education Officer’s Office, City Finance and Accounts Officer’s Office of Basic Education. While the documents were being arranged, all the financial records of the office were found missing from the office. When all the missing financial records like cash book, pass book, ledger, check book, register and stock register etc. were not found in the office, they were searched.
Tried to get information from former Block Education Officer Nagar Manoj Bose, Principal Rahul Sharma, Office Finance Incharge and Assistant Accountant Neeraj Saxena and Assistant Accountant Virendra Kumar. The former BEO did not cooperate. The Assistant Accountant Urban-Rural did not give any reply showing indiscipline. The Office Assistant Accountant and the Principal also denied having the records with them. It is clear from this that financial records have been made missing with the intention of deliberately creating obstruction in government work. Due to this, it will not be possible to assess the amount withdrawn from these accounts and conduct further audit of the records as per government rules. Vandana Saini has sought permission from District Basic Education Officer Vimlesh Kumar in this matter to register an FIR against all three except the BEO.
