A research has proved that consuming cinnamon helps in controlling blood sugar levels. Research has looked at how cinnamon affects blood sugar. In this research, people suffering from diabetes were fed 4 grams of cinnamon daily for 4 weeks. After four weeks, it was found that those who were given cinnamon had better control over their blood sugar than those who did not eat cinnamon.
The results of this research showed that people who consumed 4 grams of cinnamon per day had lower fasting blood sugar levels compared to the control group. This research proves that cinnamon can play an important role in improving glucose and metabolism in the body.
However, how sesame works to control blood sugar is not yet clear. But preliminary research results strongly suggest that adding cinnamon to the daily diet may benefit people who are at risk for developing diabetes, that is, people with prediabetes.
