Finally, after a long process, on 15 May 2024, Nepal's Pathan High Court acquitted Sandeep Lamichhane of all charges. Sandeep Lamichhane was suspended by the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) on charges of rape. But after his acquittal, CAN lifted his suspension. Ever since the T20 World Cup was approaching, there was speculation about Sandeep's inclusion in the World Cup team.

Finally, after the tireless efforts of the Nepal Cricket Association, Sandeep Lamichhane has gone to America. Nepal has played one match so far in the T20 World Cup 2024, in which it lost to the Netherlands by 6 wickets. Nepal will play its next match against Sri Lanka on June 12 at 5 am Indian time.
