Before the assembly elections in Maharashtra, the Shinde government has opened its treasury. On Tuesday, the Cabinet Sub-Committee of the Industry Department, headed by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, approved seven mega and super mega projects worth Rs 81 thousand 137 crore. These include electric vehicles, semiconductor chips, technology-based lithium battery manufacturing projects. Large scale investment has been decided in Marathwada, Vidarbha as well as Konkan.

JSW Energy has decided to invest in the huge lithium battery manufacturing project of PSP XI Limited. This project will be started in Nagpur region. A total investment of Rs 25 thousand crore will be made in the project. More than 5000 jobs will be created JSW Green Mobility Limited Company is the first mega-project in the state to invest heavily in electric and hybrid vehicle manufacturing.

There will be an investment of 27 thousand 200 crores

This project will start in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. A total investment of Rs 27,200 crore will be made in this project and more than 5200 jobs will be created. There is a plan to manufacture 5 lakh electric passenger cars and 1 lakh commercial cars annually in this project.

Permission to manufacture semiconductor chips

The project for manufacturing semiconductor chips has been approved by RRP Electronics Company Taloja-Panvel, District. Many more districts will be involved in this project. This is the first semiconductor manufacturing project in Maharashtra. An investment of Rs 12 thousand crore will be made in the first phase of this project. More than 4000 jobs will be created. The work of the project will start on a pilot project basis in Mahape, Navi Mumbai by September 2024.

20 thousand people will get direct employment

The government claims that this will provide direct employment to about 20 thousand people in the state. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Industry Minister Uday Samant, Chief Secretary Sujata Sainik, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister and many other senior officials were present in the meeting.
