Before this, 3 more franchises have changed their names. Which includes Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Sunrisers Hyderabad changed its name

Indian Premier League was started in the year 2008. Rajasthan Royals had captured the title in the first season. In the next season of the league, Deccan Chargers defeated RCB and won the trophy. After Sunrisers Hyderabad, now the name of Delhi team has also changed. The Delhi Daredevils franchise became Delhi Capitals in 2018. However, even after changing the name, the fortunes of the team have not changed and the franchise is still in search of the title. In the year 2020, Delhi Capitals reached the final, where it lost to Mumbai Indians by 5 wickets.

Punjab Kings are in search of trophy
