Morena, May 23 (HS). The severe havoc of heat started two days before Nautapa. Due to this, the roads are seen deserted during the afternoon. At the same time, the number of patients in hospitals has doubled due to heat fever. People are resorting to cold drinks to avoid the heat. There is a strong possibility of increase in maximum and minimum temperatures during Nautapa. Thunderstorms are also being predicted. The health department is appealing to the common man to stay safe to avoid heat wave and intense heat.

The common people are facing intense heat since the last 5 days. In Morena district, 6 days ago, the minimum temperature suddenly increased from 28 and the maximum temperature from 33 to 31 and 45. The havoc of intense heat started in the district due to the simultaneous increase of 12 degrees in the maximum temperature. In the last two days, even the light dust storm and drizzle with hot winds could not show any major effect on the temperature. After the fall in temperature during three days, the maximum temperature has been recorded at 44 and the minimum temperature at 29 degrees. Due to intense heat, people are forced to come out of the house between late morning and late evening. People are coming out covering their heads. To get relief from the heat, people are gathering at cold beverage shops. Despite this, most of the people have become victims of the sudden increase in heat.

Medical Officer of the District Hospital, Dr. Yogesh Tiwari said that the number of patients suffering from summer fever and heatstroke is continuously increasing in the hospitals. The number of patients in the district hospital has almost doubled. Summer fever has been seen after many years. In which the patient is taking 4 to 5 days to recover.

In view of the increasing number of patients suffering from heat, the hospital management has made adequate arrangements for medicines and ORS. RMO of the district hospital Surendra Singh Gurjar said that patients have been advised to drink ORS solution along with medicines regularly. The health department is appealing to the common man to stay safe and not to go out of the house unnecessarily. If necessary, go out covering the body and head. Along with this, do not remain hungry in the summer season, keep consuming adequate water and cold beverages continuously.
