Before the Lok Sabha elections, BJP's preparations are in full swing to woo the farmers through the Gaon Chalo campaign. Bharatiya Janata Party is having important dialogue with 1.25 lakh rural farmers across the country through the “Gaon Chalo Abhiyan” program. The program will start from 12th February and will continue till 12th March, the entire program will last for a month. Before the Lok Sabha elections, Bharatiya Janata Party has made complete preparations to woo the farmers and that is why it is continuously organizing various programs to communicate with the farmers.
Communicate with farmers through Gaon Chalo campaign
National President of BJP's Kisan Morcha, Rajkumar Chahar said, “We are communicating with the farmers through Gaon Chalo campaign and Kisan Chaupal. “Our aim is to take suggestions from the farmers and know what they want from Modiji, hence a ‘Sankalp Patra’ will be prepared.” .These things can be added in preparation for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. These can be included in Modi's guarantee. The programs held across the country were telecast on 900 screens, i.e. setting up one screen in one district, Gramya Parikrama Yatra and live telecast of Kisan Chaupal was organized with laborers and farmers.
Gaon Chalo campaign on 12th February at Sukh Tirth, Muzaffarnagar
Leaflets have been distributed and communication has been made with the farmers regarding the work done by the Modi government for the welfare of the farmers and village parikrama is being done under the Gram Parikrama Yatra. Under Kisan Chaupal, if there is any ex-serviceman or martyr's family in the village, then establish contact with the laborers and farmers and respect those progressive farmers. The Gaon Chalo campaign was started on February 12 from Sukh Teerth in Muzaffarnagar in western Uttar Pradesh.
Around 20,000 farmers participated in the first rally of the yatra
About 20,000 farmers participated in the first rally of this yatra. The program was addressed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and National President of BJP Kisan Morcha Rajkumar Chahar. On this occasion, apart from BJP Uttar Pradesh President Bhupendra Yadav and Dharampal Singh, local leaders were present and talks were also held with the people of the village.
Reaching 1.25 lakh villages
There is no opposition anywhere in the village parikrama yatra due to the works done by the Modi government in the last 10 years like Kisan Fasal Yojana, Kisan Samman Nidhi, Crop Insurance, Kisan Rail Deep Irrigation, Nano Urea. And its 50 percent subsidy is free up to 300 units. Farmers are very excited about electricity, MSP is given on crops. MSP has increased one and a half times and two times under Modi government. We are reaching 1.25 lakh villages.
The government has been taking decisions in the interest of farmers in the past and will continue to take them in future also.
MSP seems to be the main issue now. In Punjab, some crops are being purchased extensively at MSP. MSP in manufacturing is continuously increasing. Exports are also big and the government itself is continuously sitting in Chandigarh for talks. A solution will be found through talks. The government has been taking decisions in the interest of farmers in the past and will continue to take them in future too. There is a need for good discussion on some issues in the interest of farmers.
Wheat purchasing center is also called 'Labi' in the local language.
There is already a lobby movement going on in the country. Wheat purchasing center is also called 'Labi' in the local language. “It was Indira Gandhi's government when farmers did the 'Lebi Movement' in Uttar Pradesh. Since the MSP rate was low and wheat was being sold in the market at one and a half times the price, the Indira Gandhi government at that time acted forcefully.” Harassed the farmers and bought at cheap prices. The issue of MSP is a big issue and the government will not rush into it. Its conclusion will come only through meaningful discussion.
