New Delhi: Foreign Minister S. Even before Jaishankar reached Islamabad, Pakistan has started putting pressure on India. In the last two days, Pakistan not only raised the issue of Kashmir but also indirectly tried to hold India responsible for the political instability of its country.

However, the Indian side has already made it clear that External Affairs Minister Jaishankar's visit to Pakistan this week should not be linked to relations between the two countries. Despite this, efforts are being made by Shahbaz Sharif's government to raise those issues which are unpleasant for India.

Pakistan sings Kashmir tune

Many foreign delegations, including Russia and China, have started arriving to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting to be held on 15-16 October 2024. The Indian Foreign Minister will reach there on Tuesday morning to participate in the meeting.

Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar told journalists in Islamabad that along with Gaza, Kashmir is also a priority issue for Pakistan. He was talking about the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by PM Sharif. However, he also clarified that there has been no bilateral meeting with Indian External Affairs Minister Jaishankar.

what pakistan Distracting?

A day earlier, Dar had accused the main opposition party PTI and a 'neighboring' country of conspiring to disrupt the SCO meeting. India has not officially responded to both these statements. Experts say that the Sharif government is making such statements to divert attention from internal challenges.

Jaishankar will stay in Pakistan for two days

At present the Pakistan administration is facing many challenges. Not only Imran Khan's party PTI has started a big movement but Pashtuns have also started a big movement in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Foreign Ministry sources said that Foreign Minister Jaishankar will reach Islamabad on October 15. Will stay there for two days. He will also hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of some countries but he will not have any talks with the Foreign Minister of Pakistan.

Visit of Indian Foreign Minister after nine years

After nine years, an Indian Foreign Minister is visiting Pakistan. Earlier in December 2015, the then External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had gone to Islamabad to participate in a meeting. However, there Swaraj met the then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and held bilateral talks with the External Affairs Minister.

A few weeks later, on 25 December 2015, PM Modi also attended the wedding held at Sharif's house. But after this there remained constant tension in the relations between the two countries. Later, air strikes were also carried out on terrorist bases in Pakistan. Relations have worsened since the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir in August 2019.
