Fog in Bijnor: Wedding procession bus overturned

On one hand, while the devotees are moving towards Sangam, on the other hand in Bijnor, UP, a blanket of fog turned the happiness of a wedding into fear. The incident occurred late on Monday night, where a private bus filled with wedding guests went out of control and overturned near Malan river on Kiratpur-Mandawar road. The biggest reason for this accident is being said to be ‘dense fog’.

According to the information received, all the people traveling in the bus were returning from Haridwar to Bijnor. Actually, Nagma, a resident of Bijnor, was married to Wasim of Haridwar on January 10. On Monday, the family members had gone to their daughter’s in-laws’ house to perform the ‘Chauthi’ ceremony. While returning happily from there, the visibility near Malan river was so low that the driver could not understand the road and the bus suddenly overturned in a pit on the roadside.

A total of 38 people were traveling in the bus who suffered injuries. It is a matter of relief that no one died, but considering the condition of seven injured, they have been referred to the district hospital. This accident reminds us that in this winter fog, life is more valuable than the speed of the vehicle. If you are also traveling at night or in the morning, then take special care.
