BCCI came forward to help the former cricketer battling cancer, announced a financial aid of Rs 1 crore

Former coach of the Indian cricket team and cricketer Anshuman Gaikwad is currently battling a serious disease like blood cancer. The 71-year-old was undergoing treatment in London. On receiving information about him, the Board of Control for Cricket in India extended a helping hand. The board has decided to immediately give Rs 1 crore for the treatment of Anshuman Gaikwad. As soon as the information was received, BCCI secretary Jay Shah took immediate action. He talked to his family members and inquired about the health of the elderly and announced help.

BCCI will give one crore rupees

On Saturday, former Indian cricket team captain Kapil Dev shared the information that his teammate Anshuman Gaikwad is suffering from cancer. He said that this batsman who has played with him is going through a lot of trouble. Kapil Dev appealed to BCCI for help. As soon as the news came, the BCCI secretary announced to give Rs 1 crore to Anshuman Gaikwad.

Let us tell you that Anshuman Gaikwad has played the role of coach of the Indian team twice. Taking cognizance of his illness, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has directed to provide financial assistance of Rs 1 crore, while he has also spoken to Gaikwad's family and assured them that the board is always with him and will keep an eye on his health. In which whatever kind of treatment he will need, every kind of help will be provided by the board.

Let us tell you that former Team India player Anshuman Gaekwad played a total of 40 Test matches between 1974 and 1984, in which he scored 1985 runs at an average of 29.63. Meanwhile, Gaekwad scored 2 centuries and 10 half-centuries. Anshuman Gaekwad also got a chance to play 15 ODIs and scored 269 runs at an average of 20.69, which also includes a half-century.
