India tour of Australia: The Indian cricket team is currently playing a test series against New Zealand. After this the team is going to tour Australia. A series of five test matches is to be played. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chief selector Ajit Agarkar has announced the India-A team under the captaincy of Ruturaj Gaikwad. He has made Abhimanyu Easwaran the vice-captain.
Will keep an eye on Rituraj and Abhimanyu
After joining India A team on Australia tour, Ruturaj and Abhimanyu have become contenders to join the senior team as backup openers. No players from India's Test or T20 squad are included in the India A squad as their schedule will clash with the Test match against New Zealand and the T20 match against South Africa. The Indian team will play the New Zealand Test series till 5 November. Then there will be a series of 4 T20 matches in South Africa from 8 to 15 November.

India-A and Australia-A will play 2 four-day first-class matches against each other. The first match will start on 31 October and the second match will start on 7 November. Then Rituraj Gaikwad's team will face the senior team captained by Rohit Sharma. A practice match will be played between the two. The team of Rohit Sharma and Ruturaj Gaikwad will play a 3-day match at the WACA Stadium in Perth from 15 to 17 November. After this, the first match of Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be played on 22 November at Optus Stadium in Perth.
