The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced Team India's schedule for the 2024-2025 domestic season. India's domestic season will begin in September with a 2-Test series against Bangladesh and Team India will also play 3 T20 matches against the same team. Apart from this, the Indian team is going to host New Zealand this year and England in early 2025. India will play 5 Tests, 3 ODIs and 8 T20 matches during this home season.
Three countries will host India
Bangladesh- The Indian team will host Bangladesh in the first month of September. This tour will run from 19 September to 12 October. 2 Test matches will be played between India and Bangladesh, which will be played in Chennai and Kanpur. At the same time, between 6 and 12 October, both the teams will face each other in 3 T20 matches. These 3 T20 matches will be hosted by Dharamsala, Delhi and Hyderabad respectively.
New Zealand- Four days after the series against Bangladesh ends, the Indian team will start a 3-Test match series with New Zealand. The Kiwi team will play 3 Test matches with India from October 16 to November 1. The first match will be played in Bengaluru, the second in Pune and the third in Mumbai.
England- The first challenge for India in the new year 2025 will be England. England's tour of India will start on 22 January and end on 12 February. 5 T20 and 3 ODI matches will be played between India and England in about 3 weeks. All these eight matches are hosted by eight different grounds.
India will play series against Zimbabwe
Before the start of this domestic season, the Indian team is going on a tour of Zimbabwe. India will tour Zimbabwe just a few days after the conclusion of the T20 World Cup 2024. 5 T20 matches will be played between the two teams from July 6 to July 14. It is being said that many senior players of the team including Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli can be rested for this series.
