Ranchi, 11 November (HS). Liquor shops will remain closed for five days in the month of November due to the Assembly elections-2024 in the state. Dry day has been declared in the respective districts of the state regarding the elections. During this period, liquor shops and related establishments will remain closed in the state for five days. This decision has been taken to conduct the elections in a peaceful and fair manner. At the same time, an appeal has been made to common citizens to cooperate during this period.
In view of the assembly elections, liquor shops will remain closed in 43 assembly constituencies of 15 districts. A notification regarding this has been issued on Monday. According to this, liquor shops will remain closed from 5 pm on November 11 to 5 pm on November 13 for the first phase of voting, while from 5 pm on November 18 to 5 pm on November 20, liquor shops will remain closed for the second phase in 38 assembly constituencies. Liquor shops will remain closed for voting. Along with this, liquor shops will also remain closed on the day of counting i.e. 23rd November.
