Who is Pa Togon Nengminza Sangma?
Pa Togan Nengminja Sangma was a freedom fighter from the Garo tribe in Meghalaya. He died on 12 December 1872 at Macha Rongkrek (a village in Meghalaya). Pa Togan led the attack at night while the British soldiers were sleeping. They had to face defeat due to the superior weapons of the British army.
