October 2 (Monday): Banks will remain closed on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

October 3 (Thursday): Banks will remain closed on the occasion of Shardiya Navratri and Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti.

October 10 (Thursday): Banks will remain closed on the occasion of Mahasaptami.

October 11 (Friday): There will be a holiday on account of Mahanavami.

October 12 (Saturday): There will be holiday on account of Ayudha Puja, Dussehra and second Saturday.

October 26 (Saturday): There will be holiday on account of Merger Day (Jammu & Kashmir) and fourth Saturday.

October 31 (Thursday): Banks closed on account of Narak Chaturdashi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary and Diwali.

Gandhi Jayanti (October 2, Wednesday): Mahatma Gandhi's birthday is celebrated on October 2. This day is one of the three national holidays in India and banks, schools, colleges, government and private offices remain closed on this day. October 2 is also celebrated as International Day of Non-Violence, which marks the global recognition of Gandhi's non-violent resistance.

Mahanavami (October 11, Friday): The ninth day of Navratri, called Mahanavami, is celebrated with great pomp across the country. Schools, banks and most offices remain closed on this day.

Dussehra (October 12, Saturday): Dussehra will fall on October 12 in 2024. This festival symbolizes the victory of good over evil. On this day, effigies of Ravana, Kumbhakarna and Meghnath are burnt. Schools, colleges, banks and other offices remain closed on Dussehra.
