However, banks are going to remain closed for several consecutive days in October due to festivals. In such a situation, you must pay attention to the bank holiday list of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) so that if you get a chance, you do not face any problem due to bank closure.

Bank holiday is going to last for about 15 days

RBI releases the list of bank holidays before the beginning of every month. According to the list, out of 31 days in October, there will be holidays for about 15 days. This includes Saturday and Sunday holidays as well as festival holidays. Banks will remain closed for one day in October due to assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. There will be bank holidays on different days due to Gandhi Jayanti, Durga Puja, Dussehra, Lakshmi Puja, Katti Bihu and Diwali.

When will banks be closed in October?

October 1- Banks will remain closed in Jammu due to assembly elections.
October 2- There will be a holiday in banks across the country on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
October 3- There will be a holiday in banks due to the establishment of Navratri in Jaipur.
6 October- There will be a holiday in the entire country due to Sunday.
October 10- Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Guwahati, Kohima and Kolkata due to Durga Puja, Dussehra and Maha Saptami.
October 11 – Bank holiday in Agartala, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Gangtok, Guwahati, Imphal, Itanagar, Kohima, Imphal, Kolkata, Patna, Ranchi and Shillong due to Dussehra, Maha Ashtami, Mahanavami, Ayudha Puja, Durga Puja and Durga Ashtami. will remain

October 27- Due to being Sunday, there will be a holiday in banks across the country.
October 31- Due to Diwali, there will be a holiday in banks in almost the entire country.

Work will continue through UPI and net banking

Due to the festive season in October, there are often bank holidays on various festivals in many states of the country, but even after this, none of your important work will stop. You can use UPI, Net Banking and Mobile Banking for transactions even when it is a bank holiday. Apart from this, cash can also be withdrawn through ATM.
