Actually, today the holy Buddhist festival in Sikkim Drukpa Tshe-zi Is being celebrated. This festival is celebrated to commemorate the first sermon of the ‘Four Noble Truths’ given by Lord Buddha to his first five disciples in the Deer Park of Sarnath after attaining enlightenment. Due to this regional festival, RBI has declared a holiday for banks today only in Gangtok and other cities of Sikkim.
