Bank employees should keep an eye on UPI transactions regarding Lok Sabha elections: Joint Tax Commissioner

A joint meeting of regional managers, district coordinator branch managers and postal superintendents of all the banks of the district was held on Saturday under the chairmanship of Election Expenditure Monitoring Cell's Nodal Officer-cum-Nodal Officer-cum-State Tax Joint Commissioner Motihari Santosh Kumar in the Dr. Rajendra Prasad Auditorium at the Collectorate. to be done.

During the meeting, the Nodal Officer said that during the Lok Sabha elections, suspicious transactions, opening of accounts of candidates, operation of accounts, transportation of cash and UPI such as Phone Pay, Paytm, Google Pay etc. are being carried out with the aim of corrupting the electoral process. All other types of UPI transactions were asked to be monitored. Along with this, many necessary guidelines were also given in this regard.

He said to keep a close eye on all transaction activities. If any suspicious transaction or deposit or withdrawal of more than Rs 10 lakh in cash is found or kept with it, ensure to inform it daily to the Income Tax Officer/Nodal Officer, Election Expenditure Monitoring Cell, East Champaran, Motihari.
