Bangladeshi infiltration is threatening the existence of tribal society: Champai Soren | News India

Ranchi, September 5 (HS). Former Chief Minister Champai Soren has once again expressed concern about infiltration in Jharkhand. He has raised questions about the continuous Bangladeshi infiltration in Santhal Pargana.

On Thursday, he said on social media that the existence of tribal society is in danger due to the continuous Bangladeshi infiltration in Santhal-Pargana. There are dozens of villages there where tribals are not found even after searching. For example, no Santhal family lives in Santhal Tola located in Jikarhatti of Pakur. Similarly, no member of the primitive tribe is left in Malpahariya village. Where did the sons of the soil go there? Who is in possession of their lands and their houses now?

Champai Soren said that the local people of the society told him that a graveyard has been forcibly built on the land of a tribal family in Gilha village of Barhet. Such incidents have happened at many places. You see for yourself how many tribal families are left in and around Veer Bhognadih? Baba Tilka Manjhi and Veer Sido-Kanhu never bowed down to the foreign British in the fight for water, forest and land, but today the intruders are occupying the lands of their descendants. The dignity of our mothers, sisters and daughters is in danger. According to Champai, the problem of infiltration is not a political issue for us, but a social issue. If we remain silent on this issue, the coming generations will never forgive us.
