Bangladesh team announced for Test series against India, this fast bowler out of the team | News India

Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced a 16-member team for the two-match Test series against India. The two-match Test series between India and Bangladesh is starting from 19 September. There can be a tough competition in the Test series. Most of the players in this team are the same who registered a historic series win over Pakistan a week ago.

Nazmul Hussain Shanto will be seen captaining the Bangladesh Cricket Board, while injured left-arm fast bowler Shoriful Islam has been ruled out of the series against India. The board has included Zakar Ali in the Test team for the first time. Opener Mahmudul Hasan Joy has returned to the Test team after being ruled out of the Pakistan series.

Khalid Amed, one of Bangladesh's most experienced fast bowlers, has also returned to the team. Meanwhile, Zakir Ali Anik has made his first Test call-up for Bangladesh. The 26-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman is the only uncapped player in the Test team. Earlier, he has played 17 T20 internationals for the Bangladesh team.

The first Test match between India and Bangladesh will be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from September 19. The Bangladesh team will reach Chennai on August 15 for this match. Indian players have to report in Chennai today i.e. on September 12. While the second match will be played at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur from September 27. After this, a three-match T20 series is to be played between the two countries.
