New Delhi: Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who was present at the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reached the capital on Saturday. Then naturally she landed at the Bangladesh Embassy. When former Congress President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and her daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and son Rahul Gandhi reached the Bangladesh Embassy to meet her, Sheikh Hasina hugged Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. And asked about the news of Rahul Gandhi. Then they had tea and breakfast together.
Analysts clearly say that the freedom movement started in the then East Pakistan under the leadership of Banga-Bandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Banga Bandhu was asked by his comrades to reach London immediately because Pakistani soldiers could kill or even arrest him. As soon as the movement gained intensity, the youth there formed Banga-Wahi to help him and on Indiraji's request, the then President Varahagiri Venkatgiri sent the Indian Army and Bangladesh was formed from East Pakistan. Since then Indira Gandhi's family and Mujibur Rahman's family are close. That is why Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Rahul Gandhi went to the Bangladesh Embassy in New Delhi to meet Sheikh Hasina.
