Women's T20 World Cup 2024 : India's neighboring country Bangladesh has lost the hosting of Women's T20 Cricket World Cup-2024 due to violence. Due to the ongoing violence and political turmoil in the country, the ICC has decided to organize the World Cup matches in the UAE.

Bangladesh Cricket Board also did not raise any objection

According to a Cricbuzz report, in a meeting of ICC members, it was decided to shift the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 from Bangladesh to UAE. The biggest thing is that Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) also has no problem with this.

ICC wanted to host the World Cup in India

Earlier, the ICC had proposed to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to play the World Cup in India. However, the BCCI flatly refused. The BCCI said that it is the rainy season right now and India has to host the Women's ODI World Cup next year, so we do not want to give the wrong message to anyone that we want to host two consecutive World Cups.

It is worth noting that there is violence and political turmoil in Bangladesh due to the anti-government movement. Since the country is facing many challenges at this time, this is why the ICC has decided to hand over the hosting to another country instead of Bangladesh.
