Aankhen: Govinda and Chunky Pandey starrer ‘Aankhen’ was one of the iconic comedy films of the 90s. In this film, along with both the actors, a monkey also had an important role in the story. Now Govinda and Chunky Pandey revealed that both of us were paid less than that monkey for working in the eyes.
Recently Govinda, Chunky Pandey and Shakti Kapoor reached ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’. Both the actors shared funny stories from the shooting of ‘Aankh Na’. Govinda and Chunky said that the monkey was pampered more than them on the sets of the film.
Govinda got less fees than a monkey
Shakti, Govinda and Chunky tell funny stories about eye contact on The Kapil Sharma Show. Shakti said, ‘We did a film together in which both of them were heroes. No, actually there were three heroes – Govinda, Chunky and a monkey. After this Chunky said, ‘Yes, he was paid more than us.’ Govinda agreed with Chunky and said, ‘We did not get the money.’
Shakti said that Bandara, who worked in the film, was given a room at the Sun and Sand Hotel in Mumbai. He jokingly said, ‘Whenever David called the monkey, Chunky would come and whenever he called Chunky, the monkey would come.’
A monkey came with 6 helpers
Even before this, Chunky Pandey had said in an interview that how many privileges the eye monkey got. He said, ‘I was told that everyone except you has a double role in the film, so I said that this is wrong. So I was given a monkey. That monkey was paid more than me and Govinda. He was a very expensive monkey from the south and came on the plane with 6 assistants. He was a big star who was staying at the Sun and Sand Hotel. Because of this monkey, strange things happened on the set, but it also got everyone’s love.
