On investigation, the landline number was found to be registered in the name of Spectrum Info Web Solution Private Limited MM Tower, then confidential information was found that Anurag Gupta son of Kamal Gupta resident of 18 Sangam Bihar GMS Road police station Basant Bihar Dehradun Hall resident of 11 Priya Lok Colony Sewla Kala Police Station Patel Nagar Dehradun has taken about 500 numbers in the name of Spectrum Info Web Solution Private Limited Company. Through which he gets the calls from foreign countries diverted to Indian mobile numbers on the internet and is doing this work in a very confidential manner. Finally, on Tuesday, STF raided the second floor of GMS Road MM Tower and arrested cyber criminal Anurag Gupta. Also recovered were two laptops, two servers, two CPUs, one monitor, two media converters, one line switch, three modems, seven connectors and connecting wires, one printer and one mobile phone. DOT team was also present on the spot for technical support.
Used to run illegal call exchange setup behind the scenes
To hide his identity by not putting up the board of his company Spectrum Info Web Solution Private Limited, the accused had put up two flexi boards outside in the name of Vikrant Food Company and Doon Its Webbed Service and had installed a call exchange setup inside the office. For exchange set, he had taken SIP connection of 500 landline number from BSNL and internet connection through Interwave technology.
Gets commission from China for routing VIP calls to landline numbers
During interrogation, the arrested accused told that I have setup a server here. From here I route VIP calls received from abroad to the landline number. In return I get commission from China. In the year 2015, I used to work in value edit service in China Telecom Company which is located in China. Where I was introduced to a woman named Amanda, who ran the Snow Fly online company. We used to talk to him daily on Skype app and through normal ISD call. She had told that the international call which I will send to you through internet has to be converted into local call and sent to India and other foreign places. This is an illegal act. In return, you will get lakhs of rupees in the form of dollars.
After getting information about illegal activities, Jio disconnected the connection and took 500 numbers from BSNL.
In the greed of money, I had taken number and net from Jio company from August 2023 to December 2023, but when Jio company came to know about this illegal act of mine, they disconnected my connection. After this, in December 2023, first of all, PRI line and a router was taken from BSNL company. This line was taken to send the calls received from Snow Fly Online Company to the customers in China, Hong Kong, Singapore. A total of 500 marks have been taken for this.
The accused has also gone to jail in Haryana and Bihar
The accused told that in the case of Banda district, my company's server was used, which came to my server from a mobile number from Canada. Which I had diverted to the jail superintendent's number. The said accused had previously gone to jail in a similar case from Sonipat district, Haryana and Bihar.
