Jaipur, 6 December (Hindustan Reporter). Rajasthan High Court has removed the ban on releasing its final results, clearing the way for Junior Accountant and Tehsil Revenue Accountant Recruitment-2023 for about 5400 posts. Along with this, the court disposed of the petitions filed on various issues. Justice Sameer Jain gave this order on the petitions of Pankaj Kumawat and others.
During the hearing, state AAG Basant Singh Chhaba said that the appointments are stuck due to the court’s final stay on the result. Whereas the merit of the petitioners is very low, even if they are included in the recruitment process, they will not be eligible for appointment. AAG said that 474 candidates aged between 18 to 21 years had participated in the recruitment and out of these only 24 have been selected. The state government has also canceled their selection. Therefore, the ban on releasing the final results should be removed. After hearing the stand of the state government, the court disposed of the petitions after the petitioners withdrew their petitions.
It was said in the petitions that candidates of minimum age of 18 years to 40 years appear in the same eligibility test. Staff Selection Board released the recruitment advertisement for the post of Junior Accountant and Tehsil Revenue Accountant in the year 2023. In which the age limit was 21 to 40 years and along with graduation, computer qualification was also kept mandatory. Along with this, 15 times the number of candidates against the posts mentioned in the recruitment were called for the written examination from among the candidates who had passed the common eligibility test at the graduate level. This included many candidates who were below 21 years of age and many others did not even have computer skills. By including such ineligible candidates in the recruitment process, the petitioners were deprived of selection. Therefore, ineligible candidates should be excluded from recruitment.
