Baltimore: 20 Indians still stranded on ship even 35 days after Baltimore Bridge disaster

It has been 35 days since the bridge collapsed in Baltimore, USA, but 20 Indian crew members are still trapped on the ship. The accident happened on 26 March. Because of this, a part of the Baltimore Bridge broke and fell into the water. There were also casualties.

Indian crew members are still present in the crew

If the accident had not happened, the crew members would have reached their destination Sri Lanka. But they are forced to live on a cargo ship off the coast of the American port city of Baltimore. Jim Lawrence, a spokesman for the company that owns Dali, said the Indian crew members were still on the crew and their morale had not declined.

Tourists can stay for one more month

Lawrence said that in addition to his duties on the ship, he is also assisting in the ongoing investigation of the accident. He is also being counseled continuously. The Indian Embassy has refused to release information about those still on board the ship. Experts say that all of them may remain on the ship for a few more weeks or months. When they are released, priority will be given to those members who are junior.
