Balaghat, 18 April (HS). After complete preparations for the General Lok Sabha Elections-2024, the polling parties were sent out with election materials on Thursday. Opening of the strong rooms started at around 5:30 in the presence of Collector and District Election Officer Dr. Girish Kumar Mishra, Observer Shubhakaran Singh, ARO of the concerned Assembly and political parties. For material distribution, each assembly was divided into different colors so that the parties did not face any problem in getting the material of the assembly allotted through randomization.
After receiving the material distributed through the tables, the parties thoroughly checked the election material as well as the medical kit this time. During the distribution of material, election observers also kept monitoring whether the parties were facing any problem. There was no worry on the faces of the polling parties but instead there was more excitement about the responsibility placed on their shoulders. After distribution of material from the local Polytechnic College at around 9 o'clock, District Panchayat CEO DS Ranada, Deputy Collector MR Kol and RTO Animesh Gadpal offered prayers to the bus of route number 28 of Lanji Assembly and sent it off with best wishes to the parties.
Help center built for EDC even at the last moment
There are provisions for voting of government servant voters included in polling parties through EDC. Postal Ballot Assistant Nodal Officer Gajendra Katane said that a total of 12134 EDCs were issued in the district. During the second training, EDC was issued against the format 12B and 100% EDC was distributed through the help desk during material distribution. Which will be used by the respective voters in the polling center only.
Medical kit tested with election material
As per the instructions of District Election Officer Dr. Mishra, this time special medical kits were prepared for the polling parties of highly sensitive polling stations and other polling parties and provided to the parties along with election material. The parties also checked the medicines included in the medical kit along with the voting material.
Patle couple will sacrifice their duty in the great festival of democracy
The Patle couple, who are among the voting parties in the Lok Sabha elections-2024, have their own responsibilities. Both husband and wife are engaged in election duty. Both are also enthusiastic about voting. Wife Deepali Patle is a teacher in government school. His duty will be to conduct voting at Lalbarra polling center of Balaghat Assembly. While husband Mr. Lurendra Patle works as a teacher in Sivanghat of Khairlanji. They will perform their duties at the polling station during elections.
A botanical pavilion was built somewhere and a welcome gate made of banana leaves.
Botanical pavilion was built at Fattepur polling station in Parswada assembly. Election Commission has directed that adequate water and shade should be arranged at the centre. A unique innovation has been made in compliance with the instructions. A deep shadow of that pavilion is visible. It may be noted that 1675 polling teams from 1675 polling stations in the district had left by 11 o'clock. After the departure, great enthusiasm was seen among the rural citizens at the polling stations. After the parties reached the polling stations, they were welcomed with tilak and aarti.
Balaghat Lok Sabha Elections: Voting party reached pink booth got a warm welcome
To make the festival of elections meaningful and proud of the country, Varasivani Block Kaidi polling station number 75 and Khapa polling station number 31 have been made pink booths for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024 to be held on April 19. As soon as the voting party reached pink booth no. 75 on Thursday, they were warmly welcomed with garlands, bouquets and applying tilak on their foreheads.
The women voting group was welcomed with rose flowers by CEO Deeksha Jain herself. On discussing with the polling team, she told that she had come for election duty for the first time, she was very excited and happy. A pink colored pandal has been set up in the pink booth which was decorated with pink balloons. Pink color decoration has been done at the door to welcome them and proper care has been taken to provide facilities to the women employees. BLO Anita Nagpure, sector in-charge Komal Gajbhiye, Arun Patle, R Bansode Pradhan Pathak, Secretary Gayatri Goswami were present in the sweet moment of welcome.
Total voters in Lok Sabha constituency Balaghat-Seoni 1873653
Voting in the first phase of Balaghat-Seoni Lok Sabha constituency will be held on Friday. Voting will be held from 7 am to 4 pm in three assemblies of the district, Baihar, Lanji and Parswada and from 7 am to 6 pm in the other five assemblies Barghat, Seoni, Balaghat, Varasivani and Katangi.
A total of 2322 polling stations have been created for the parliamentary seat. 1675 polling stations were set up in 6 assemblies of Balaghat district, out of which 1153 polling stations will be monitored through webcasting and 86 polling stations will be monitored through CCTV. Monitoring will also be ensured by the Commission through webcasting. 2322 polling stations have been made in Balaghat-Seoni constituency in which 18 lakh 73 thousand 653 voters will vote. In this, 930208 male, 943429 female and 16 third gender voters will use their franchise in the elections. In the entire Lok Sabha constituency, there are 2107 service voters, 68.96 EP voters, 1014.21 gender voters, 15423 disabled voters and 5993 voters above 85 years of age.
